Bobcat 3400XL 570cc Gas Engine Rebuild for 2014–2019
REV6 rebuilds Bobcat 3400XL 570cc gas engines with new crankshaft and connecting rod bearings, pistons, rings, and serviced cylinder heads. Before ordering, check your machine’s B3FN serial number to confirm compatibility.
First, our technicians inspect the engine core and identify damaged components. Next, they evaluate the crankshaft, cylinder, and valve train. Depending on the cylinder’s condition, REV6 bores and hones it to the next oversize or has it replated. Finally, the assembled engine receives a quality control inspection before shipment.
What’s Included in the Bobcat 3400XL Engine Rebuild
- Complete engine core inspection
- Reusable OEM components inspected and refurbished when serviceable
- Cylinder head cleaned, sandblasted, resurfaced, and rebuilt
- Valve guides inspected and replaced as needed
- New high-temperature valve stem seals
- Valves and valve seats recut, refaced, and vacuum tested
- Camshafts, lobes, and journals inspected and serviced as required
- Refurbished crankshaft
- New high-babbitt crankshaft and connecting rod bearings
- Engine cases inspected for cracks, damage, and excessive wear
- Cylinder bored and honed to the next oversize or replated as required
- New pistons and piston rings
- Timing chain inspected and replaced as needed
- Oil pump inspected and refurbished as required
- New engine gaskets and seals
- Engine assembly torqued to manufacturer specifications
- Final quality control inspection

This rebuild is listed for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Bobcat 3400XL 570cc gas models with the following serial numbers:
- B3FN11001–B3FN11999
- B3FN12001–B3FN12999
- B3FN17001 and above
- B3FN18001 and above
- B3FN19001 and above
However, the listed serial ranges overlap. Therefore, confirm your machine’s serial number with REV6 before purchasing.
Core Requirements and Exchange Options
REV6 offers two ways to purchase your Bobcat 3400XL engine rebuild:
- Build Core: Send your original rebuildable engine to REV6 for inspection and rebuilding.
- Core Exchange: Select the refundable $800 core charge option for a qualifying advance exchange, subject to engine availability.
If you choose a build-core rebuild, REV6 must receive your engine before work begins. However, an advance exchange may be available when a qualifying engine is in stock.
After REV6 receives your returned exchange core, our technicians inspect its condition. Once it qualifies under the core return requirements, REV6 issues the applicable refund.
