SALES AGREEMENT/ RETURN POLICY

By submitting this order, I agree to abide by the terms and conditions of sale set forth herein with respect to the use of my credit card, e-check or check payment for this order including any related charges that may occur after the sale as listed below. All sales are subject to a core exchange or core charge.

All Rev 6 engines come with a 1-year warranty with the potential to upgrade to a 2-year warranty. Warranty exceptions apply to engines or transmissions used in rental or commercial use machines. The customer account must be paid in full (no outstanding balances on engines or transmissions, core fees, damage charges, etc.) before any work will be performed (this includes warranty work). Please see our Warranty Policy for further details.

Common engines and transmissions typically ship within 1-2 weeks from the order date. There are a few engines and transmissions that require more time to work on so the lead time will be a little longer. Lead time will be quoted at the time of purchase.

REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE PROGRAM

Purchase of an engine or transmission are subject to a core exchange. A core must be returned to Rev 6 prior to the customer’s engine or transmission being placed on our schedule or a core fee must be paid. These costs depend on the type of product being purchased. The core is your old product: engine, transmission, cylinder head. All cores must be received by Rev 6 within 14 days (for retail customers) or 21 days (for dealers) of your remanufactured product being shipped to you for a full refund. We do not accept aftermarket parts or ported cylinders / heads / cases.

Option 1: Sending in your core prior to build date.
Customers are welcome to send in their core prior to their build date if they wish to avoid the refundable core charge. We will add you to our build schedule once the core has arrived. Once we receive your core, we will process it in our next available opening. If Rev 6 does not receive the core within 30 days, the customer order will be put on hold until the core is received from the customer.

Option 2: Paying the Refundable Core Charge.
Customers have the option to pay a refundable core charge so they can receive their remanufactured engine or transmission and then do the tear out and install at the same time. This refundable core charge is due prior to your scheduled build date. We cannot get you on our schedule if the core charge is not paid in full.

Core Bypass: If you have been approved to cross-ship an engine, the customer’s core will need to be in transit to Rev 6 within 14 days of Rev 6 shipping the remanufactured engine or transmission. Receipt of a Rev 6 manufactured engine constitutes an agreement to return the old core. If the customer uses a shipping label not provided by Rev 6, the customer must notify Rev 6 of the tracking number to confirm the return of the required core. If the core is not returned within 14 days of shipment of the purchased engine or transmission, a $100 per week late fee will be incurred until the core is received. The customer will continue to receive the outstanding core charge invoices until their core is received. If the core is not received within 30 days of shipment, Rev 6 reserves the right to charge the customer’s card for up to $2,000 for the outstanding core. The $2,000 is in addition to any late fees already incurred.
Customers are still liable for damage charges once the core is received as outlined below in our Core Refund section. If Rev 6 must fix a core to make it usable again, the customer is responsible to pay any damage invoice assessed within 14 days of receipt. Any outstanding damage invoice not paid by the customer within 30 days will automatically be billed to the customer’s payment on file. In order for a remanufactured product to be shipped by Rev 6, the account must be paid in full, including either having your core on-site and processed or a refundable core charge paid in full. If Rev 6 is unable to collect the amount due, all warranties related to the purchased product from Rev 6 will be null and void. The warranty can be reinstated if the customer satisfies the outstanding amount on the account.

CORE REFUND

What constitutes a full refund on an engine core or transmission core? The definition of a good core is having core parts that can be remanufactured. This includes no major damage to the following:

  1. Cases
  2. Camshafts
  3. Cylinder Head
  4. Oil Pan
  5. All internal components included (balance shaft, crankshaft, connecting rods, camshafts, bolts, washers, valves, etc.)

Charges may be incurred for cracked or damaged aluminum on cores, missing parts, aftermarket or modified parts, extensive damage that prohibits reasonable rebuilding of the engine or transmission, etc. Any charges assessed may be reversed by Rev 6 receiving a replacement part or engine core that is in good condition.

If an engine or transmission is considered a good core after inspected, the customer will be issued a full refund of the core fee by form of original payment. If a core fee was not collected from the customer for any reason, the core fee will be marked as paid in full on the customer account.

All cores are guaranteed a refund of a minimum 20% of the core fee when received and inspected. Any damaged or missing parts will be charged to the customer. The core fee paid by the customer will be deducted for the damage and the remaining amount will be refunded to the original source of payment. If a core fee was not paid, the customer will be invoiced for the damage and will have 14 days from receipt of the invoice to pay the outstanding balance. If the outstanding balance has not been paid by the customer within 30 days of invoice date, Rev 6 will charge the payment method on file for the customer for the outstanding balance.

The customer is responsible for sending in the core with all additional parts removed. Only the engine or transmission and the internals of such should be sent in. Anything that attaches to the engine or transmission should be removed by the customer prior to sending it to Rev 6. We are not responsible for any extra parts left on the engine that are not part of the core case or internal components of the core. Any extra parts left on the core will be discarded upon receipt and cannot be returned to the customer. Visit our website ( www.rev6sports.com) for pictures and a list of which parts to remove. You will find the lists under Cores, Teardowns.

Please see the Core Shipment instructions below.

Core Shipment Instructions:

If you are shipping the core before receiving the newly purchased engine from us, please ship it in a strong walled box, either a plastic tote or a double walled cardboard box. If you have already received your engine, you may reuse the box and packing material used to ship your engine or transmission if it does not appear to be too damaged. Be sure to allow enough room on the sides, top, and bottom of the container for sufficient padding (at least 4” but preferably 6”). Padding can be anything of a soft material, stuffed tight enough that the core won’t move within the container. Suggested material would be shipping paper, foam pool noodles, cloth from old clothing or towels, or materials of that sort.

Please complete the Customer Core Slip and leave a copy inside your box with your engine. Please power wash your engine before shipment. We strongly recommend you ship your core using Fedex Ground. We can help arrange for shipping through our dealer account and help with shipping costs. To take advantage of this, please email your customer service representative. We are not responsible for picking up packages.

Preferred Carriers: FedEx Ground or UPS DO NOT USE: United States Postal Service
(USPS has refused to deliver packages because of the smell of gasoline or oil.)
