The Ranger 1000 Master Refresh Kit covers both the cylinder sealing components and the intake and exhaust valves. It is a practical choice when the existing pistons and cylinders remain within specification, but the repair calls for new rings and valves.

Before installation, inspect the cylinder bores, pistons, valve seats, and valve guides. Their condition will determine whether this refresh kit provides the right coverage for your engine.

How the Master Refresh Kit Differs

The standard Polaris Ranger 1000 SOHC Top End Refresh Kit contains the gasket set and piston rings. This Master kit adds two intake valves and two exhaust valves for a broader top-end repair.

Check the Head Before Assembly

Inspect the valve guides and valve seats before installing the supplied valves. Those components are not listed with this kit. Therefore, they may need separate attention if the cylinder head shows excess wear.
