Confirm the Reusable Engine Components

Measure the cylinder bores, pistons, crankshaft journals, and bearing locations during teardown. Next, inspect the valve guides and seats. These checks establish whether the remaining engine components meet specification.

Before final assembly, verify ring end gaps, bearing clearances, valve-seat contact, and valve lash. Use the correct Polaris specifications for every measurement.

Compare Refresh and Rebuild Coverage

If the existing valves remain within specification, consider the Polaris General XP 1000 Complete Engine Refresh Kit.

If inspection also identifies piston or cylinder wear, compare the Polaris General XP 1000 Master Engine Rebuild Kit.
