This engine is available as a Build Core service. After placing your order, send your rebuildable Bobcat 3400XL engine to REV6. Next, our technicians inspect your engine and begin the remanufacturing process. Once the rebuild is complete, our quality control team performs a final inspection before shipping your engine back, ready for installation.

Our Engine Rebuild Process

Every Bobcat 3400XL 570cc engine follows a detailed rebuild process that focuses on long-term reliability. Throughout the rebuild, our technicians inspect critical components, refurbish reusable OEM parts, and replace worn components as needed.

• Complete inspection of your rebuildable engine core
• OEM components inspected and refurbished whenever they meet our quality standards
• Cylinder head cleaned, sandblasted, resurfaced, rebuilt, and quality inspected
• Valve guides inspected and replaced as needed
• High-temperature valve stem seals installed
• Valves and valve seats recut, refaced, and vacuum tested
• Camshafts, lobes, and journals inspected and serviced as required
• Refurbished crankshaft
• New high-babbitt crankshaft and connecting rod bearings
• Engine cases inspected for cracks, damage, and excessive wear
• Cylinder inspected, bored and honed to the next oversize, or replated as required
• New pistons and piston rings installed
• Timing chain inspected and replaced when necessary
• Oil pump assembly inspected and refurbished as required
• New gaskets and seals installed
• Engine assembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications
• Final quality control inspection before shipment

A rebuildable engine core is required for this service. However, you can send your engine core to REV6 before rebuilding begins or choose the refundable $800 core charge option if you need an engine shipped first.
