Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 Top End Refresh Parts

The Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 Master Top End Refresh Kit combines piston rings, valves, and top end gaskets for top end engine service. It is designed for RMAX 1000 2-seat and 4-seat models.

This refresh kit includes Standard (STD) piston ring kits rather than complete piston kits. In addition, it includes both intake and exhaust valves for cylinder head service.

Refresh Kit or Top End Rebuild Kit?

This Master Top End Refresh Kit includes piston rings for engines with reusable pistons. Therefore, inspect the pistons and cylinders before choosing your rebuild parts.

If your top end also requires new pistons, consider the Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 2/4 Master Top End Rebuild Kit. That kit includes two Standard (STD) piston kits instead of piston ring kits.

Inspect the Top End Before Assembly

Before installation, inspect the pistons, cylinders, cylinder head, valve guides, and valve seats for wear or damage. Also, confirm that the existing pistons remain within the correct service specifications before reusing them.

Then, follow the correct Yamaha procedures and specifications for piston rings, valve service, engine timing, and final assembly.
