Preparing the Sealing Surfaces

First, remove the old gasket material without damaging the cover or engine case. Then, clean both mating surfaces before placing the new gasket.

Also, inspect the cover for damage around the bolt holes and sealing edge. After fitting the gasket, tighten the cover bolts using the Polaris sequence and torque values.
