Inspect the Valve Guide and Seat

Check the exhaust valve guide for wear before installing the new valve. Then, measure stem-to-guide clearance and inspect the valve seat for damage, recession, or poor contact.

After the required cylinder-head work is complete, verify valve-seat contact and set valve lash to the correct Can-Am specifications.
