Description
Engine Rebuild Service for the 2018–2020 Can-Am Commander 1000
Internal noise, oil use, low compression, or engine damage can take a Commander 1000 out of service. REV6 rebuilds the engine using measured machine work, new wear components, refurbished assemblies, and serviceable OEM parts.
Each engine is disassembled and inspected after it reaches the REV6 shop in Utah. The technicians then determine which listed repairs and replacements are required for that core.

Core and Shipping Choices
The product page provides several ways to begin the rebuild. You can send your own engine at your expense, add a REV6 return-shipping label, or select the refundable core-charge option.
- Remanufacture your supplied engine and arrange shipping yourself
- Add a return-shipping label for your engine core
- Pay the $1,200 refundable core charge
- Pay the refundable core charge and add a return-shipping label
After purchase, REV6 sends the shipping information and tracking details for the selected option. The customer service team is also available if you have questions about preparing or sending the engine.
A core refund is issued after the returned engine is received, inspected, and accepted under the REV6 core requirements. If you are unsure whether your engine qualifies, contact REV6 before ordering.

Build and Quality Checks
The technician checks measurements and clearances throughout the rebuild. After assembly, the engine receives another inspection before it leaves the shop. These checks help verify the work before the engine returns for installation.
Estimated Rebuild Time
The estimated turnaround is 5–10 business days after the required core arrives and passes inspection. However, added machine work, damaged components, parts availability, and current shop volume may affect that estimate.
Contact the REV6 team for current scheduling before ordering if you are working against a deadline.
Installation and Break-In
Correct installation, fluid selection, initial startup, and break-in all affect engine life. Therefore, review the REV6 engine break-in procedure before operating the rebuilt engine.
Warranty, Financing, and REV6 Support
This Commander 1000 engine rebuild includes a 1-year REV6 warranty. An optional 2-year no-fault warranty is also available. Review the policy for coverage terms, maintenance requirements, and exclusions.
Qualified buyers can review REV6 financing options. You can also compare this service with Can-Am Commander 1000 engines, rebuild kits, and parts for 2018–2020 models.
