This kit is built for an extensive engine rebuild when the rotating assembly, pistons, and valves require replacement.

Master vs. Complete Engine Rebuild Kit

The Master kit adds four intake valves and four exhaust valves to the components found in the Complete Engine Rebuild Kit. Therefore, it is the better match when inspection shows that the engine also requires replacement valves.

If the existing valves remain within specification, consider the Wolverine X2 1000 crankshaft, rod, and piston rebuild package instead.

Inspect and Measure Before Assembly

Before installation, inspect the cylinders, engine cases, valve seats, valve guides, and related surfaces for wear or damage. Also, verify piston-to-cylinder clearance and confirm that Standard (STD) piston sizing is correct for your engine.

In addition, confirm the required crankshaft and connecting rod bearing specifications and clearances. This kit includes black crankshaft and connecting rod bearings, so verify the correct bearing selection before final assembly.
