Complete Kit or Standard Engine Rebuild Kit?

The Complete kit adds a crankshaft and two connecting rod kits to the piston, bearing, gasket, seal, and timing components. Therefore, it is the better match when inspection shows that the existing rotating assembly also requires replacement.

If your crankshaft and connecting rods remain reusable, consider the Wolverine X2 1000 rebuild package with Standard piston kits instead.

Check Engine Clearances Before Assembly

Before installation, inspect the cylinders, engine cases, and related bearing surfaces for wear or damage. Also, verify piston-to-cylinder clearance and confirm that Standard (STD) piston sizing is correct for your engine.

This kit includes black crankshaft and connecting rod bearings. Therefore, confirm the correct bearing specifications and clearances before final assembly. Follow the appropriate Yamaha procedures and torque specifications throughout the rebuild.
