Honda Talon 1000 Short Block Engine Rebuild Service

This service focuses on rebuilding the core of your Talon 1000 engine—the short block. When internal wear starts affecting performance, addressing the lower end properly helps restore balance, durability, and long-term reliability.

At REV6, your engine is fully disassembled, inspected, and rebuilt using corrected tolerances and properly machined components.

Build Core Engine Service

This is a build-core-only service. After placing your order, you’ll receive instructions for preparing and shipping your engine.

Remove external components such as exhaust, electrical, and fuel-related parts, then package the short block as outlined. Once your core arrives, we handle the rebuild, inspection, and return shipment.

What Gets Rebuilt

This process focuses on restoring internal condition and correcting wear in the engine’s foundation.

• Complete teardown and inspection of all components
• Cylinder head cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt to specification
• Valve guides inspected and replaced as needed
• Valves and seats recut and verified for proper sealing
• Camshaft components cleaned, polished, and inspected
• Refurbished crankshaft
• Cylinder block inspected, bored, honed, or re-sleeved as needed
• New pistons and rings installed
• Timing chain inspected and serviced
• Refurbished oil pump assembly
• Engine cases inspected for cracks, wear, and integrity
• All gaskets and seals replaced
• Final assembly torqued to factory specifications
