The 2007–2014 Ski-Doo 800 P-TEC is built for cold starts, strong throttle response, and dependable snowmobile performance. However, once internal wear starts to build up, you may notice hard starting, low compression, excessive smoke, weak response, or power that feels inconsistent under load.

At REV6, we tear your engine down completely, clean and inspect the major components, and rebuild it with refreshed internals. As a result, your 800 P-TEC gets the clean operation, strong sealing, and snow-ready reliability it needs for the season ahead.

Core Options

Core required: To receive your REV6 rebuilt Ski-Doo 800 P-TEC engine, you must provide your old core or pay a refundable $1,200 core charge.

If your returned core is in good condition, the core charge is fully refundable. If you already have a good core ready to send in, contact us before ordering so we can help you choose the best core return option.

After your order is placed, we’ll send the shipping information needed to get your core headed our way. Before shipping, remove your exhaust, fuel-related components, electrical parts, and sensors. Once your engine arrives, our team completes the inspection, rebuild, quality check, and return shipment.

The Ski-Doo 800 P-TEC needs strong cylinder sealing, healthy crankshaft bearings, clean cases, and accurate piston-to-cylinder clearance to run the way it should. Because of that, we inspect crankshaft condition, rod alignment, cylinder wear, case health, gasket surfaces, and sealing components throughout the rebuild.

For cylinder work, we inspect plating condition, bore wear, surface finish, and piston-to-cylinder clearance so the engine seals properly and runs clean. In addition, every major component goes through a hands-on review before assembly begins.

Inspection and Assembly Process

Once your engine arrives, we fully disassemble, clean, and inspect it before assembly begins. We check crankshaft bearings, rods, true and index, engine cases, bearing journals, cylinder wear, pitting, scarring, out-of-round wear, and tapering.

Because the inspection comes first, our team can confirm what your engine needs before final assembly. We do not charge extra for disassembly or diagnosis on your rebuild.

Turnaround Time

Typical turnaround time is about 2 weeks after your engine core arrives, depending on the condition of your core and parts availability.
