Master Top End Rebuild Kit for the 2018–2021 Can-Am Maverick 800

This Can-Am Maverick 800 Master Top End Rebuild Kit covers cylinder, piston, and valve replacement during a top-end rebuild. The standard-bore components retain the engine’s original bore configuration.

Before assembly, inspect the cylinder heads, valve guides, valve seats, and sealing surfaces. Then, verify all piston, ring, valve, and timing measurements against the correct Can-Am specifications.

Cylinder and Piston Installation Checks

Measure each piston and cylinder before assembly. Check the piston-ring end gaps inside their assigned cylinders, confirm piston orientation, and install each ring in its specified position.

Valve Installation Checks

Inspect the valve guides and seats before installing the new valves. Verify valve-to-guide clearance, valve-seat contact, installed height, and final valve clearance. After assembly, rotate the engine by hand and confirm the camshaft timing marks.
