Can-Am Maverick 1000 X3 Engine Rebuild Service (2017–2023 Models)
The Maverick X3 is built to perform, but once internal wear starts to build up, you’ll notice it—loss of power, inconsistent boost response, or reduced efficiency under load. A full rebuild corrects those issues and brings everything back into proper working condition.
At REV6, each engine is completely disassembled, inspected, and rebuilt with corrected tolerances and refreshed components.
What Gets Rebuilt
This process restores critical areas that impact performance, sealing, and durability.
- Complete teardown and inspection of all internal components
- Cylinder head cleaned, decked, and shimmed to specification
- Valve guides inspected and replaced as needed
- High-temperature valve stem seals installed
- Valves and seats recut and vacuum tested for proper sealing
- Camshaft components cleaned, polished, and inspected
- Refurbished crankshaft
- New high-babbitt main and rod bearings installed
- Cylinder block inspected, bored, honed, or replaced as needed
- New pistons and rings installed
- Timing chain inspected and serviced
- Refurbished oil pump assembly
- Engine cases inspected for cracks, wear, and integrity
- All gaskets and seals replaced
- Final assembly torqued to factory specifications
Inspection Process
Each engine is assembled by one technician and reviewed by another before it ships. This additional inspection step helps ensure everything meets OEM spec before it goes back into your machine.

Every engine includes a 1-year warranty. You can upgrade to a 2-year no-fault option for additional protection.
