Engine Restoration Includes

• Complete inspection of your engine core
• OEM components cleaned, inspected, and refurbished whenever they meet specification
• Engine completely dismantled and repaired as needed
• Cylinder heads inspected, cleaned, sandblasted, decked, shimmed to specification, and quality checked
• Valve guides inspected and replaced as needed
• High-temperature valve stem seals installed
• Valve seats and valves recut and refaced with vacuum-tested sealing
• Camshaft lobes and journals inspected, polished, and replaced as needed
• Refurbished crankshaft
• New high-babbitt crankshaft and connecting rod bearings
• Cylinders inspected, bored and honed to the next oversize or replated as required
• New pistons and piston rings
• Timing chain inspected and replaced as needed
• Refurbished oil pump assembly
• Engine cases inspected for cracks, damage, and excessive wear
• New gaskets and seals throughout the engine
• Engine assembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications
• Final quality inspection before shipment

Note: The rebuild process may vary depending on the condition of your engine core. Some engines require additional repairs while others require fewer services.

Core Exchange Options

This Can-Am Commander 800 engine is available through our core exchange program. Return your rebuildable engine core or purchase the engine with a refundable core charge of $1,200. Once your returned core is inspected and approved, your refundable core charge will be processed according to our core policy.
