Description
2017–2022 Polaris Ranger 500 Engine Rebuild by REV6
When your Polaris Ranger 500 ProStar engine needs more than an individual component replacement, REV6 evaluates the internal assembly before rebuilding begins. Our technicians inspect the crankshaft, cylinder, piston, cylinder head, bearings, and engine cases to determine the work required.
This rebuild combines refurbished OEM components with new replacement parts where specified. REV6 rebuilds the crankshaft to manufacturer specifications and addresses cylinder wear according to the condition of your engine core.

Rebuilt Crankshaft and Cylinder Inspection
REV6 rebuilds the Ranger 500 ProStar crankshaft, inspects it, and verifies that it meets OEM specifications. The engine’s bearings are also inspected and cleaned during the rebuild process.
Cylinder condition determines whether replacement is necessary. When a cylinder is worn, REV6 uses a refurbished, hone-finished Nikasil-coated cylinder along with a new piston and rings.
Cylinder Head Rebuilding and Valve Sealing
The cylinder head receives cleaning, inspection, decking, and rebuilding work. REV6 also checks the valve guides and replaces them when necessary.
Valves and seats are recut or refaced, then vacuum tested to verify sealing. Camshaft components are inspected and polished, with replacement based on their condition.
REV6 Engine Inspection and Quality Control
REV6 technicians inspect the internal components before completing the rebuild. Engine cases are checked for damage and journal wear, while the final assembly is torqued to manufacturer specifications.
Our team brings more than 60 years of combined powersports industry experience to engine rebuilding and inspection.
